Terms & Conditions
The rules that govern your use of this site and of any report we produce for you.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website is operated by José Enrique Hueso Dolz («Octant», «we», «us»), contactable at nexus88g@gmail.com. These terms govern your use of octant.report and any sample report we produce at your request.
Browsing this site or requesting a report means you accept these terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What we currently offer
At present, octant.report offers two things:
- Sample reports, free of charge, produced on request and delivered by email.
- Books, which are not sold on this site. They are sold by third-party retailers, and any purchase is a contract between you and that retailer under their own terms.
No paid service is sold directly through this website. If that changes, these terms will be updated beforehand to cover pricing, payment, delivery, and your statutory right of withdrawal.
3. Who may use this service
You must be at least 18 years old to request a report. Do not submit another living person’s name and date of birth unless you have their explicit consent to do so, and never submit the details of a minor.
4. How a sample report works
To produce a report we need a full name and a date of birth, plus an email address to send it to. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send; an analysis built on incorrect details will itself be incorrect, and that is not a defect in the service.
Sample reports are produced individually rather than automatically, and capacity is limited. We give an indicative turnaround at the point of request, but no delivery date is guaranteed, and we may decline or discontinue a request at our discretion. Because the service is free, no refund or compensation arises from delay or non-delivery.
5. Nature and limits of a report
A report is an interpretive analysis, not a diagnosis, not a validated psychometric instrument, and never a basis for decisions about employment, clinical care, or a person’s legal standing. The full terms of this are set out in our Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, design, the Octant name and symbol, and the structure and wording of the reports — belongs to Octant or is used with permission, and is protected by intellectual property law.
The analytical method behind the reports, including its internal calculation model, is proprietary and confidential. Nothing on this site or in a report grants any licence to reproduce, reverse-engineer, or derive that method.
A report we produce for you is provided for your own personal use. You may keep it, print it, and share it with people you choose. You may not resell it, publish it commercially, present it as your own work, or incorporate it into a paid product or service without our written permission.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site or its content unlawfully, nor to attempt to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorised access to it, extract its content by automated means, or use it to harass, profile, or make determinations about another person without their knowledge and consent.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify, suspend, or withdraw any part of it. We may also update these terms; the date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or of a report. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer rules that apply there. Consumers resident in the EU may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
